Recovery Point

Strong and reliable recovery points are crucial for off-road driving, but the absence of industry standards for rated tow points has long created confusion among four-wheel drivers. In response, ARB has set out to establish an industry benchmark for the design, testing, and selection of recovery points.

ARB’s recovery point range addresses the limitations of generic tow points, which are often unsuitable for various recovery situations. Issues with generic tow points include dubious and untested mounting locations, confusion over selecting rated shackles and straps, and their inability to safely handle the stresses of an angled pull during vehicle recovery.

ARB aims to simplify the process of finding the correct recovery point for each customer. Each vehicle-specific recovery point in their engineered ‘Recovery Train’ is rated for use with a 4.75t bow shackle and an 8000kg snatch strap, ensuring safety and reliability in recovery situations.
